General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Scope


These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all users of the platform fin (accessible at analysewithfin.com), which provides content and functions for analysing securities, ETFs and other financial instruments. The platform is operated by:

By using the platform, the user accepts these GTC. Deviating conditions of the user are not recognized unless the operator expressly agrees to their validity in writing.



2. Service description


The platform offers interactive tools, data visualizations, key figures and AI-powered analyses for independent stock and financial analysis. The services include, among others:


  • Stock fundamental analysis (P/E, DCF, balance sheet data, cash flow, P&L)
  • ETF analysis and exposure overview
  • Portfolio Analyzer and Portfolio Planner
  • Economic indicators (FRED®, Eurostat, World Bank)
  • Insider trading data and congressional trading overview
  • Market Fear & Greed Index
  • AI-based company analysis (via OpenAI)
  • Dividend analysis and scenarios (ROI calculator)
  • Individually customizable dashboards

3. Usage requirements


The use of basic functions (Free Tier) is free of charge. Advanced features are available through paid subscriptions (Hobby, Pro). Use is at the user's own responsibility. The operator reserves the right to modify content, adjust features or restrict availability – particularly during the beta phase.


The platform is available to users aged 18 and over. Minors may only use the platform with the consent of a legal guardian.



4. Subscriptions and payment terms


The platform offers three usage tiers: Free, Hobby and Pro. Paid subscriptions can be taken out on a monthly or annual basis. Payment processing is handled by the external payment service provider Stripe Inc.


Trial period: Paid subscriptions may include a free trial period. After the trial period expires, the subscription automatically becomes chargeable unless cancelled in time.


Cancellation: The subscription can be cancelled at any time at the end of the current billing period. After cancellation, access remains until the end of the paid period, then automatically switches to the free tier.


Price changes: The operator reserves the right to change prices. Existing subscribers will be informed at least 30 days before a price change takes effect.



5. Disclaimer


The content provided is based on data from external third-party providers (including FRED®, Eurostat, World Bank). No liability is assumed for the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the data. In particular:


  • For key figures such as P/E, EBIT multiples, TTM values or forecast data, there may be time delays or calculation deviations.

  • AI-generated analyses (OpenAI) may contain errors and do not constitute a professional assessment.

  • The operator is not liable for losses or damages arising from investment decisions made by users based on the information displayed.

  • The platform is in beta phase – scope of functions, availability and freedom from errors cannot be guaranteed.

6. Registration and user account


The use of certain features requires the creation of a user account. Registration is handled via the authentication services of Supabase. The user is obliged to:


  • provide truthful information during registration,
  • keep access data confidential and not share them with third parties,
  • inform the operator immediately of any unauthorized use of the account.

The operator reserves the right to temporarily suspend or permanently delete user accounts in case of violation of these GTC or misuse.


7. Data protection



The collection and processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and is governed by our separate Privacy Policy .


8. Copyright and intellectual property



All content, texts, graphics, visualizations, algorithms and structures of the platform are protected by copyright. Any reproduction, editing, distribution or any kind of exploitation outside the limits of copyright law requires the prior written consent of the operator.


Users may only use the platform for personal, non-commercial purposes. In particular, it is prohibited to:


  • Automatically read data (scraping),
  • Systematically download or redistribute content,
  • Use the platform for commercial data usage.


9. Data sources and FRED® notices


This application uses, among others, the FRED® API of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. "This product uses the FRED® API but is not endorsed or certified by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis."

Some data series accessible via the FRED® API may be copyrighted – additional usage rights may need to be obtained from the respective rights holder.



10. Availability and maintenance


The operator strives for high availability of the platform but cannot guarantee uninterrupted accessibility. In particular, maintenance work, technical disruptions, force majeure or changes to the third-party APIs used may lead to temporary restrictions. Claims for damages from downtime are excluded.



11. Changes to the GTC


The operator reserves the right to change these GTC at any time. Users will be informed of material changes by email or by a notice on the platform. Continued use of the platform after the changes take effect shall be deemed consent to the amended GTC. In case of objection, the user has the right to cancel the subscription.



12. Applicable law and jurisdiction


The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is – to the extent legally permissible – the operator's registered office. For consumers, the statutory place of jurisdiction applies.



13. Severability clause


Should individual provisions of these GTC be or become wholly or partially invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. In place of the invalid provision, a regulation shall apply that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid provision.
